What we like:
This board is designed to be a small wave performance kite surfboard. Most people are riding small waves for their every day sessions so it makes sense that your "go-to" stick matches that profile. We have ridden the Drifter in range of conditions from chest high clean side-off conditions to head high punchy side onshore conditions and found that it works really well in both. The construction is good - we have been doing small airs and beating on it and it has held up very well. This board won't be quite as strong as some production kite surf boards but what you lose in strength is more than made up for in feel and responsiveness. The Drifter is as close to the feeling of a regular PU/Poly surfboard as anything we've ever ridden.
What we don't like:
If you are looking for a kite surfboard that will cut it steeper and bigger waves - you may prefer a board with a little more rocker that will turn tighter in the pocket. The Drifter is definitely more closely focused on smaller or mushier waves.
Why you want the BWS Drifter:
Because you want a board that stands out in small/medium waves with a responsive and flexible surfboard feel under your feet.
