The Mystic Kiteboarding Code harness adds BOA technology to an already great harness. The Code is perfect for gear hounds, early adopters and riders who are looking for a little extra back support. Check out the description, video and reviews below for more information.
How do you make a great harness better? Add BOA technology to allow for on the fly support adjustment. The Code 1 adds adjustable back support to the package to create the most advanced harness on the market. This harness is madness.
Designed for: Gear hounds, early adopters and riders who are looking for a little extra back support.
Support: The Code 1 maintains mystic’s 3D back support and adds in BOA to the mix. Having revolutionized many products in other industries (from snowboard boots to bike helmets), BOA is a great fit for the kite industry and is a proven technology. For maximum support when boosting high and doing kiteloops just twist the BOA to stiffen up the support. If you are riding waves or taking a freestyle session and would prefer a more flexible harness, just loosen up the system and you a good to go. The best part about it all is that the whole system can be adjusted with one hand while on the water riding!
Weight / size: The Code is a little more heavyweight than some other options due to the extra features.
Ease of use: Still running with their Battlebelt and Clickerbar 2.0 systems, this harness could not be easier to get on and off. Just take it from us though, if there is sand in the mechanism don’t even try to force it together –take the time to rinse it in the water first.
Looks: The simple 2-tone color scheme works really well with this harness and the BOA system on the back of the harness doesn’t make it look weird or bulky. The harness comes in Orange, Black and Gery.
We Really Like: this one is obvious – the BOA system is awesome. Set aside any skepticism and get on board, this system is here to stay.
Review by Pete:
Pros: Adjustable back support makes this harness a winner no matter your chosen discipline...
Cons: Of all the harnesses available, the Code 1 is at the pricey end of the spectrum.
Realpro tip: Try and keep your Clickerbar and BOA system sand free when packing down from a session so that it’s ready to go when you are setting up next time.
