I had the opportunity to ride this kite at Napegue Harbor on Long Island last weekend. Great kite! Normally 14m's feel squishy and sluggish. The 2014 LF NRG 14m is TIGHT and responsive. Goes upwind really well and turns fast even on the LF medium size bar - although I would recommend their larger bar for most riders. Id say the sizing and power delivery were accurate to the printed size of the kite, meaning if you want a lightwind kite, this would be a good one to check out. I'm sure it would be a solid choice too for larger riders who ride litt on twin tips or wakeboards, as the tight feel will stay intact when the kite gets maxed out.
Saved my session!

I flew this kite right after the wind became a little light for the 2014 LF Envy 12m. I flew it on the standard knot with a 2012 50cm bar.
Having the 14 extended my session from 1.5 hours to a full 5 hours of riding. Not only was I able to boost and float down like a feather but I was able to work on unhooked tricks too.
What I liked the most about this kite was the power on demand that you get when you sheet in. I was really impressed with how much faster it flew when I had the kite trimmed properly and sheeted in.
I did a bit of unhooking with this kite as well which was a pleasant surprise. There was no surge of power when unhooking. Just a very consistent pull.
What I loved the most about this kite was the lofty jumps that let you float down. That partnered with the fast turning speed make this kite a blast to be out on.
One thing I experienced in the session which could have been due to the light wind was a bit of back stalling when the kite was sheeted all the way in. This was completely eliminated when trimmed the kite a few inches.
I had a blast on this kite and can't wait to put in more hours.
