The 2014 Element has parallel rails, with a huge tail block and lower rocker. This translates into a freestyle board that rips upwind and has tons of pop for tricks.

What we like:
The Element is back in the LF line for a second year and this year is is significantly thinner and lighter than last year's board. The Element has a relatively low rocker and flat bottom shape. This was designed for maximum edge control and unmatched upwind performance. The huge tail block gives you heaps of pop when you hook the board up wind for a boost or wake style trick.
The Element can feel stiff if you are not riding hard and fast. The channel in the tip helps in chop but this board does have a rougher performance ride. With a stiff and flat board you need to give up that Cadillac smooth ride like you find in the LFX.
Why you want the 2014 Element:
If you like doing wakestyle, freestyle and kite loops, the Element is an excellent choice. It is a lot easier to ride than most freestyle comp boards, so it will be a good choice if your riding ability level is not quite there.
Liquid Force Description:
Designed by legendary wakeboard and kiteboard shaper Jimmy Redmon with input from PKRA rider Christophe Tack, the lightweight Element features an ultra- shallow concave center with quad-channeled tips, delivering explosive pop, fast landings, upwind projection, lightning-quick response, and full-bore freestyle/freeride performance.
