The 2013 Slingshot Glide is a rocket ship up wind and performs in really light winds. The Glide is made in the USA with a high quality wood core and accessories. This light wind twin tip looks and rides a lot different than most. While a lot of companies are going wider and flatter, Slingshot went longer, narrower and added more rocker. This is counter intuitive to light wind TT design, but the net result is that the 2013 Glide rips in light wind and is more fun than the competitors.

What we like:
The Glide is amazing up wind. Any ability level will be able to ride this board because it has enough rocker to bust chop and not bury the nose. Having the full wood core from tip to tip gives the Glide a responsive feel. The addition of 2" fins offers better bite. The rocker at the tips make it easy to release the edge for transitions.
What we don't like:
This board looks like it is not going to be that great in light wind, but looks can be deceiving. The Spleen Monster Door 166 does a little better in extreme light wind kiteboarding, but the Glide is a better all around light wind twin tip. You need to make sure the Fast Track is tightened down or it can slide around on you while you are riding.
Why you want the 2013 Glide:
The Glide is such a fun board to ride for any ability level. Slingshot brought in some fresh ideas and made a killer product that delivers for the conditions. If you get into some heavier wind and chop you can still stay out on the Glide because it is not too wide. The Glide is a well made and durable kitebaord that you will have in your quiver for years.
