Once again Naish stick to the roots of powered kiteboarding by maintaining their most potent Freestyle weapon... the Naish Torch 2013.
Fast flying, direct turning and the ever present and vital “Pop and Drop” are all key elements making the Naish Torch the number one choice for wake pros and aspiring kite freestylers worldwide. These kites are also equally at home in the surf where the drift that makes them so good for wakestyle allows you to truly surf the wave.
What we liked:
The Torch delivers consistent pull and C-kite performance. Naish this year have tweaked the turning speed to make the kite once again more responsive to your input. Looping this kite is exciting and will get your blood pumping. As with all freestyle kites the key is consistency coming into and riding out of your tricks time and time again. The Torch certainly has this attribute totally wrapped up.
What we didn’t like:
Naish market this kite as a wave option but still we have the issue of 5th-Line bow ties in the surf. If you are a beginner or intermediate - you will find an easier package with better relaunch by looking at hybrid kites instead.
Why you want the Naish Torch 2013:
You want the Torch for unbridled freestyle/wake and competition performance. A winner in the park and the flats where you can hone new tricks every session. The pop and drop is impressive and the rider led flying characteristics give you total control of how hard you go. Harking back to the old school for a second, these kites will also go massive. Serial boosters out there should also put the Torch on their map!
