Designed with simplicity, functionality and affordability in mind the Naish Kiteboarding Ride Control Bar is designed to work with the Ride, the Park, the Bolt and any other 4 line kite.
Quick Release: The Ride control bar has a tried and tested push away quick release. The Smart Loop quick release has remained the same for a number of years and the reliability is proven.
Depower: The depower on the Ride bar is controlled below the bar at the chicken loop with a simple cleat. Naish have refined the cleat slightly this year on all of their bars so that the depower rope sits more comfortably at the chicken loop. The bar also has a good working sliding stopper ball.
Swivel: The Ride control bar does not feature a swivel on the front lines. The system on the Ride bar is similar to the universal bar from 2010 and 2011 with a simple metal Y configuration. Take a look at the pictures to understand this setup.
Safety System: Naish have the same single line flagging system on the Ride bar as with the Universal Bar. The leash is connected below the bar at the chicken loop and will flag the kite on one single front line for 100% depower.
Bar Specs: The bar comes in one adjustable size: 18- 20 inch (45-51cm) and has fixed 24m lines. Included with the bar is the signature white Naish leash.
We Really Like: this bar offers a reliable safety-packed system in a no frills package. Just like the universal bar, its one size fits all and you can adjust the length of the bar.
Review by Pete:
The Naish Ride bar is simple and clutter free.
Pros: This bar has all of the safety features of the Universal Control Bar and comes at a nice price.
Cons: No swivel on the bar and a slightly cheaper feeling grip than some other bars on the market.
Realpro tip: If you are looking for a good value bar jammed with safety features then look no further. Riders wanting a swivel and a more ergonomic grip should look at the Universal Control Bar.
