It's great to see Mystic tackling the kite surf market by providing a dedicated wave harness.
What we like:
The idea is a simple one - if you are regular footed kitesurfer - you really only need the harness to slide to the left so that it's comfortable when riding toeside. The same goes for goofy footed kite surfers (it only needs to slide to the right). If you want to switch up between goofy and regular - just turn the whole harness the other way up. Unless you are sharing your harness, you won't really have to change it over because usually you aren't riding waves both goofy and regular.
We like the mechanism of the sliding bar, which slides on a webbing (similar to the Dakine sliding spreader bar). We also like that this harness has all of the usual high quality comforts we have come to expect from Mystic and that the bar is fixed on the webbing so you can hook in and unhook when riding waves.
What we don't like:
Some riders who like to switch it up between regular and goofy riding felt it would be nice to just have the harness slide all the way across both sides. However, in our experience, this is a very small number of kite surfers.
Why you want the Mystic 2Face:
The 2Face is Mystic's vision for wave riding harnesses and it makes a lot of sense. If you spend most of your time riding in the ocean - you should seriously consider adding the 2face to you gear quiver.
