2013 Liquid Force Slice 5-10

The tri fin thruster set up on the Slice is designed for in the pocket kitesurfing. The thruster gives you more drive off the bottom turn, and it allows you to point higher upwind. With the wide point in the middle of the Slice, you get a nice stable platform for strapped or strapless kitesurfing. We recommend the Slice for riders weighing 140 to 190 lbs.

What we like:
The Slice has a high quality wood/carbon construction with a strong EPS blank. Riding this board in small to large waves, you will find it to be really user friendly and stable. The outline shape helps it cut through chop and turn rail to rail with out sacrificing overall speed or performance.

What we don't like:
There is not much to be critical about with the Slice. The only complaint is about the fins and foot straps. The fins are standard FCS glass flex fins which are pretty low performance. They flex too much and don't give you the upwind performance you will get with a stiffer fin. The footstraps are simple and comfortable, but you need to unscrew them from the board to adjust the size.

Why you want the Slice:
The Slice will make you a better kitesurfer. It looks killer, is made well and kitesurfs great. This is a really well rounded kitesurf board. If you are in the right weight range for this size board you should seriously consider buying the Slice. You will not regret your decision.
