The name says it all. This 4'10 is a Little Phatty.
When you go sub 5' on a kitesurf board, things start to get weird. The shape looks all distorted and you wonder if these things will really work. The reality is that the Little Phatty 4'10 delivers. It is light and nimble, and the extra width makes it easy to ride. With airlines getting more strict on board fees, you will be stoked that the Little Phatty will fit in your existing kiteboarding luggage too.

What we like:
The Little Phatty kind of seems like a joke. You don't think it is going to work because it is so short and wide. The reality is that when you get on this board you are just completely stoked. It rides fast, turns hard and is strong enough to jump(unless you jump with your ski boots on). Because it is so wide, you will get some light wind advantage over your standard twin tip too.
What we don't like:
The fins that come with the Phatty are standard glass flex fins and should be replaced from the beginning. These fins are really flexible and will break before too long. Not that big of a deal since any FCS fin will work and we recommend putting in some PC(Performance Core) fins to handle the speed. The Phatty is really fun in small surf but if you get it into a wave that has a little power, you will get bucked off. Small sloppy surf is where the Phatty does best.
Why you want the Little Phatty:
This board will have you smiling ear to ear every time you kite it. You will end up ditching your twin tip for the Phatty almost every session. It is a blast in the flat water and small waves.
