Liquid Force has a lot of guys that know how to kitesurf on their team, and it shows in their 2013 kite surfboard line up. They added the wood vernier and carbon rail for extra durability on those big days. The quad fin set up makes the Joystick have a loose feel off the top with plenty of upwind performance. We recommend the Joystick for kiters weighing 175-230lbs.

What we like:
We see a lot of people getting the Joystick as their first kitesurf board because it is easy to ride, it is made well, and it has quality pads and straps. When you get this board on the water it works just as well strapped and strapless because of the intermediate rocker and outline shape. A lot of boards in this size are way too big and focused on light wind or too thin and performance oriented. The Joystick falls right in the middle where is works for most ability levels and riding styles.
What we don't like:
The stock FCS glass flex fins don't do this board justice. You want to upgrade to a stiffer performance fin to get the most out of this board. The Joystick has a top speed.. That makes it a lot more controlled for intermediate kitesurfers, but high performance guys are going to want something that will go a little faster.
Why you want the Joystick:
This board feels really good and solid when you kite it. The wood lay up offers you a smooth ride with out the board being really heavy and clunky like a lot of production boards on the market. The Joystick is going to make a lot of kiteboarders stoked to hit the surf this season.
