The Best Armada is a kiteboard designed for your average Joe that wants a kiteboard that rips.
The full wood core really helps with the shock absorption through choppy conditions. It has a simple single concave and quality G10 fins. Best made it easy with only two sizes to pick from.
Best Armada Tech Specs:
• 138cm x 42cm
• 131cm x 40.5cm
• Includes pads, straps, fins, and handle
What we like:
The Armada has great pop that is really easy to access. The board hooks up so hard when you load it up, and you don't have to be a pro to find the sweet spot. It has a simple single concave that does surprisingly well in chop for not having more rocker or bottom shape. You can land this board really hard without it flexing out in the middle and burying the nose.
What we don't like:
The pads are pretty thin, and they are not half as comfortable as the straps are. Best is using these cheap plastic spacers on the top of the board for the fins. If you are going to spend top dollar on a G10 fine, why not put a good spacer on there or have none at all?
Why you want the Best Armada 2013:
The Armada always gets really high regards at demos because it does the basics really well. It is light, goes upwind like a champ, has a lot of pop, and rides smooth through chop.
