The Mystic Shadow is the most lightweight harness in the Mystic lineup. Designed with flexibility and freedom in mind, the Shadow is still packed with features.

Who is it for?  Riders looking for a little extra flexibility and range of motion: ideal for riding waves and really tweaked out freestyle.

Support: The Shadow is a stripped back version of the ever popular Warrior III. With slightly less support, the Shadow allows for increased flexibility and movement when riding.

Weight  / size: As well as being more lightweight, the Shadow is also narrower overall than the Warrior and the Code. This makes a real difference if you are a smaller framed rider or have a shorter torso!

Ease of use: The Shadow features the same Battlebelt and Clickerbar 3.0 systems as the other Mystic harnesses. This makes it really easy to get on and off.

Looks: The shadow is a sharp looking harness. Don’t be afraid to let out your inner Euro and order the straight white version!

We Really Like: For anyone spending a lot of time wave riding, the Shadow rotates smoothly around your waist a little which makes riding toeside really comfortable. Mystic also jammed the Shadow with the same super-soft outline as the Warrior and the Code which means one main thing – NO HARNESS RASH!!

Review by Pete:

Pros:  Lightweight, feature packed and comfortable – this harness works great in the waves! We like the price tag too: it’s a little less expensive than some other Mystic waist harnesses.

Cons:  If you are looking for max support then you should seriously consider the Warrior III or the Code 1 – it’s worth the extra coin.

Realpro tip: Keep your Clickerbar sand free and make sure you really click it in before launching your kite to avoid any problems on the water.

  1. Minimalist Harness from Mystic

by Tube (Toby Diggens) on August 24, 2012

A ligter weight feel that the other Mystic waist offerings.

I have used this harness all year and it is great. Less material leads to more freedom and better overall flexibility.

This can limit the amount of support and this harness will be prefered by people looking for a minimalist feel and maximum movement. If you are prone to back strain this harness is not really the right product.

This harness will suit the younger rider looking for a top end competition/freestlye/wave harness that sacrifices support for gains in flex and freedom. I love it for the waves and will be grabbing the 2013 when they drop! Decent price point also.

Tubes Tuning Tip: Cinch yourself in tight to avoid too much harness rotation when riding toeside.
